Alice Lorraine "Rainey" Groves Franeck Stout was the third born child to Alva Louis (Lewis) Groves and first with Frances Blanche (Hayes) Groves/Phye. She was a contestant in the Miss Pueblo Colorado contest, and lived a graceful life in Texas and Colorado.

Preceeded in death by her father Alva (1877-1966), her brother Donald Dee (1932-1950), brother Glyn (Glenn) 1908-1974) Sister in law, Thelma (Olen) (1901-1988), sister Audrey Karlene (Groves) Anderson/Beaupre, and the disappearance of her mother Frances Blanche (Hayes) Groves/Phye.
Following her in death, brother Olen A Groves four days later and her sister Hazel five months later (9/11/2000), sister Doris Ann (Groves) Schade/McCutchen/Neu (1939-2001)

Survived by daughters Kathy (Franeck) Fair/Bates, Deborah Kay (Franeck) Thornton/Perkins, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, in addition to her surviving two sisters Lorma (Groves)Noble/Schmitz/Marcotte and Ilene (Groves)Petty/Slaughter. At her request, her remains were cremated and scattered in the Black Forest in Colorado.
