Floyd Lee Bennett, age 80, of Benton, died Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was born October 20, 1931, in Oklahoma to the late James and Amanda Bennett. Mr. Bennett was employed by Climax in Leadville, Colorado, from 1959 to 1973 and then worked at Alcoa from 1973 until his retirement in 1995. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and served as a firefighter for the Salem Volunteer Fire Department from 1976 to 1995. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ina Doris Bennett, his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
