Funeral services were held Friday, June 12, 1987, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock township, rural Osage, for Elmer Wilde, Sr. 59, of rural Osage. Rev. Richard Zelmer officiated and burial was in St. John's Cemetery.
Mr. Wilde died on Monday, June 8, 1987 at Winter Park, Colorado.
Mr. Wilde was born on June 28, 1927 in Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa.
He married Loreen Cooper on February 14, 1949 at Rochester, Minnesota. He farmed his entire life on the family farm in Rock Township.
He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served on the Little Cedar Creamery Board for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by two children; three brothers; one sister; and by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Loreen of rural Osage; three daughters: Mary Wilde of Forest City, Marjorie Bugg of Hampton, and Marcia Wilde of Osage; two sons, Elmer Wilde, Jr. and Kenneth Wilde, both of Osage; three sisters: Mrs. Earl (Alice) Kuntz of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Roland (Wilma) Hackbart of Grafton and Mrs. Allen (Vianora) Feldt of Osage; two brothers, Roy Wilde and Irvin Wilde, both of Osage.
