Margaret Rancour

FIFE LAKE — Margaret L. Rancour, 68, of Fife, Lake passed away April 18, 2012, at Munson Medical Center. Margaret was born on May 3, 1943, in Lansing, to the late Mark and Alice (Shaffer) Wood.
After graduating from high school in Holt, Margaret married David Rancour on Aug. 25, 1960. David retired in 2002 and then they moved to Fife Lake.
Margaret enjoyed knitting, crafting, tatting, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Smoky and dogs, Snoopy and Bear.
She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and was a member of the Buckley Old Engine Club.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 51 years, David; son, Paul (Jalayne) Rancour, of Hastings; granddaughters, Brandy and Trisha Rancour, of Hastings; great-grandson, Keegan McCullen; "sister," Betty Kinney, of Lansing; "brother," Larry (Evelyn) Kinney, of Wichitaw, Kan.; special friend, Esther Westerhouse, of Mesick; sister-in-law, Sally Merrick, of Kinglsey; brother-in-law, Eugene (Marilyn Joe) Malloy, of Fife Lake; and brother-in-law, Earl Smith.
Margaret was preceded in death by two infant sons, Randy and Billy; sister-in-law, Louise Smith; and brother-in-law, Cliff Merrick.
The funeral for Margaret will be held at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 1 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Fife Lake Cemetery.
