REESE, DOROTHY WALTON, 89, widow of baseball great, Harold "Pee Wee" Reese, died in Louisville, Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
Born October 1, 1922, Dotty was the daughter of Arch C. and Laura Walton, the mother of Barbara Reese Dudgeon (Tom) and Mark Allen Reese (Patti), the proud grandmother of Dorothy Elizabeth "DD" Brown (Steve), Thomas Reese Dudgeon (Emily) and Chloe Reese. She was the great-grandmother of Courtney and Madelyn Brown and Tate and Annabell Dudgeon.
Her memberships included Audubon Country Club, Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church and Southeast Christian Church in Louisville and Capri Isle Golf Club in Venice, FL.
Dotty and Pee Wee were married 57 years before his death August 14, 1999. They lived in Louisville and Venice, Florida in their later years. They were a devoted couple who adored their family.
Dotty was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, her parents; and her brother, Robert Walton.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Funeral and burial will be private.
