Claire Lorraine (nee Stein) Bakunas, a former resident of Fort Lee and Cliffside Park died on Saturday at her daughter Lorraine's home in Fair Oaks Ranch where sh had been living for the past 10 years. A native of Brooklyn, NY and a graduate of Cliffside Park High School and the Long Island School of Nursing where she received her R.N. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Bakunas, Sr., who died in 1991 and a son, Albert John Bakunas, Jr. who died in 1978, she is survived by her daughter Sandra Chestnut and her husband Larry, Karen Germann and her husband, George, Lorraine Bocola and her husband Marty, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Brenda Satz and her husband Steve, Jerrijill Penzo and her husband Frankie, Jr., two brothers-in-law; Charles Bakunas and John Gaffney, and her beloved nineteen grandchildren. Numerous nephews and nieces also survive her. Visitation was held Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. The Funeral Service was heldat the Funeral Home on Thursday at 8:15 A.M Then proceeded to the Epiphany R.C. Church where the funeral mass was offered at 9 A.M. Interment took place in the family plot at St Joseph's Cemetery in Hackensack. Local arrangements entrusted to Vaughan's Funeral Home of Boerne.
