Death Comes To Delbert C. Macy

Delbert C. Macy, 61, well known Jefferson county farmer, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient for he past 10 days. He had been in failing health since April and seriously ill the past six weeks.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. in chare of the Rev. Robert Folkert. The Perlee Walnut Lodge No. 317 IOOF, will have graveside services at Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Macy was born march 16, 1897 in Jefferson county, the son of Oliver and Viola E. Westerhaver Macy. He married Beulah Van Dyke in Fairfield Feb. 28, 1923.

He served in the National Guard for many years and during WWI. He was a member of the Antioch Congregational Christian church and the Perlee IOOF lodge. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Willard Macy, Fairfield,; Mrs. John Stevenson, Marengo; and Leonard nd Harold Macy, both of Palemdale, Calif. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three brothers and a sister, Harry Macy, Cherokee, Wilbur Macy, Victoria, Ill.; Ira Macy, Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Clarence Lauder, Fairfield.
