Born in Lebanon on October 02, 1925, he was the son of the late Edwin and Charlotte Snyder.
Robert was a graduate of Lebanon High School.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Robert worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
He was a member and Eucharistic Minister for the Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Lebanon.
Robert was a member and Recording Secretary for the United Steel Workers of America #1374, the Lebanon Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He attended classes at Penn State where he continued his education in Labor.
Robert enjoyed telling stories, traveling, and playing Pinochle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson.
Robert is survived by his wife of sixty-three years: Anna (Bender) Snyder; his daughters: Cynthia (Gary) Kelly and Lisa (David) Foore; his son: Dennis Snyder; his ten grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and, his nieces and nephews.
Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Thursday, November 03, 2011 at 10:00 AM.
