Rork went to Hollywood with Mack Sennett and later managed the Mack Sennett Enterprises company. In his younger days, Rork sold operetta books at Wallack's theatre in New York and then worked as a racetrack employee, later becoming a partner in a production company that produced stock plays. He became an independent producer for First National where he produced eight films and retired in 1927. Rork died following an appendix operation at a Hollywood hospital. Rork’s daughter Ann was once married to J. Paul Getty and was the mother of J. Paul Getty, Jr.
