McDermott, Mary Ann (Nee Gengler) Age 72 years, of Westfield, WI died on Saturday, October 27, 2001, at her home. She was born on July 21, 1929, in the Township of Granville, Milwaukee County, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Lillian (Arendt) Gengler. She married John A. McDermott on Oct. 1, 1949, in the Township of Granville. They remained Milwaukee area residents until moving to rural Westfield (Springfield Township) in 1994. While in Milwaukee, she worked at O.E.I. Business Forms for 25 years. After moving to Westfield, she worked at Westfield High School for six years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Westfield.

She is survived by her husband John, six children; John W. (Kate) McDermott, New Hampshire, Elizabeth (Gregory) Pfister, Milwaukee, twin daughters Mary Ellen Day, Milwaukee, and Marjorie (Stuart) Hecht, West Palm Beach, FL, Rita (Herbert) Roix, Milwaukee, and David (Julie) McDermott, Greenfield, WI. Fourteen grandchildren; Demian, Adrian, Danielle, Taylor, Zoe, Benjamin, Meghan, Christie (Scott), Kelly (Brent), Sam, Aaron, Abigail, Melissa, and Devin. Two great grandchildren; Dakota and Paige. Five step grandchildren; Sue, Steve, Michelle, Dana, and Rachel, and step great grandchildren. Three sister; Lila (Claude) Swoverland, Grafton, WI, Betty (Jim) Brisson, and Rita Gengler, both of Milwaukee. A special friend, Cheri (Jeff) Napp, Westfield, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Adam, and a brother, Alois Gengler.

Mass of Resurrection Services will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Westfield, at 11 AM, on Sat., Nov. 3. Fr. Rick Heilman will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 AM until time of services on Sat. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Good Shepherd Catholic Church Building Fund appreciated. Steinhaus Funeral Home, Westfield, served the family.
