MRS. ANNA A. MCWHIRT
Kempton, Ind., July 2--(Tribune Special)--Mrs. Anna A. McWhirt, 82, died Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her son, David, of Upland. She made her residence in Kempton, but had been visiting with her son for about eight days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Friends church in Kempton with the pastor, the Rev. C. E. Snow, officiating. Burial will be made in the Kempton cemetery.
The body will be removed from the McMullen funeral home Friday to the home of her son, John McWhirt, who lives in Kempton, where friends may call after 2 p.m.
Mrs. McWhirt was stricken June 24, suffering a paralytic stroke and a heart attack. A native of Jefferson township, Tipton county, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hedges, born Feb. 18, 1860. She spent her early life in Tipton county and was married to James McWhirt, June 18, 1878. He died several years ago.
She was a member of the Friends church.
Survivors include six sons, David and John, and Charles and Carl of Gas City, Oscar of Morgantown, and Oll, also of Kempton.
