MRS. MATTIE BOTTS.
Houston, Tex. March 3.
The death of Mrs. Mattie Botts, wife of
Colonel W. B. Botts, occurred this morning
about 9 'o'clock at the family home on
McKinney avenue, from pneumonia. She
had lived most of her life In this city and
was the only sister of Mr. S. K. Mcllhenny,
a well known business man. Her father
was years ago senior member of the firm
of Mcllhenny, Willis & Co., from which
sprung the wealthy firm of P. J. Willis &
Bro. of Galveston. Colonel W.B. Botts
is a leading railroad lawyer of the state.
The children of deceased are Mrs. Mary
Fitzgerald, Mrs. David Rice, B. A. Botts,
Ella, Hester, Mec, Brown, Tom, Eva and
Nannie, ten in number. She was a devout
member of the Episcopal church. The
funeral will take place from the family
residence tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock.
