Robert Marshall "Bob" Wood, 64, of Spotsylvania, VA, formerly of Front Royal, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, in Linden, Virginia.
A funeral service was held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Burial followed in Carter Cemetery in Marshall.
Mr. Wood was born September 18, 1946, in Fauquier County, son of the late Clifton Marshall and Mattie Ellen Mauck Wood.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Hilco Excavating. He was a member of the NRA and HOG (the Harley Owner Group).
Surviving are two daughters, Michelle Ardizzione of Linden and her husband Mark, and Christina Munro of Cape Coral, FL and her husband John; one brother, Charles Wood of Spotsylvania, VA; and one sister, Ruth Ann Orndorff of Silver Springs, FL; five beloved grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; and many more family members.
Pallbearers were be Wyatt Jacobs, Josh Jacobs, Shawn Wood, Frank Orndorff, Jimmy Bradley, and Chad Backstrom.
An honorary pallbearer was Daniel Jacobs.
The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Maddox funeral home.
