Drummer for the Metal band Manowar from 1983-1991 and again from 1994-2008.

The music industry lost one its brothers this week. Scott Columbus, 54, of Syracuse, passed away Monday. Having grown up in Sterling, NY, Scott was well known as the longtime drummer for the world-renowned band Manowar. He paid precise attention to detail and completed tasks to perfection; his skilled hands helped him remodel his entire home. Scott was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Scott will always be remembered for his quick wit, lively personality and for loving with all his heart. Scott was predeceased by his parents, Amelia and Anthony J. Columbus, as well as his brother, Anthony J.Chris Columbus. Scott is survived by his four children, Teresa Burgdorf (Columbus), Anthony J., Scott C. and Corey R. Columbus; sister, Marilyn Bognacki; brother, Thomas Columbus; his former wife, Victoria Columbus; sister-in-law, Carol Mikaelian-Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
