Of Boston, Massachusetts, a well-respected businessman and handball enthusiast, died after a long illness on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the age of 93, surrounded by family and friends.
A graduate of Lowell Textile Institute and a World War II Veteran who fought in Normandy, Germany and the North African Theater, he was a wonderful example of frugality, industriousness and camaraderie.
He was passionate about handball and was a member of the Boston YMCA for nearly 70 years. He worked until the age of 90, and was a warm and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Fr. Don Mulligan officiating.
Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery with military honors at 2:45 PM
