April 26, 2001:

Bob Ray Baumgartner 85, of Fulton Mo. passed away at the University Hospital on Tuesday April 26, 2001. He was born July 6, 1925 in Fulton Mo. the son of the late Emmett and Beluah (Snyder) Baumgartner. On October 5, 1944 he was united in marriage to Mary E. (Walker) Baumgartner who preceded him in death on October 2, 1977.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Gary Baumgartner and wife Jan of Kirkwood Mo. and Kent Baumgartner of Columbia, three grandchildren, Evan Baumgartner, Aimee Moore and Erin Lohbeck, one great grandchild, Teagan Moore, numerous nieces and nephews, his parents, wife and brother, George Baumgartner preceded him in death.

Bob served our country as Seaman First Class United States Navy during World War 11. He retired after thirty years from Baumgartner furniture as a Furniture Saleman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton. where he served as a Deacon. He had served on North Callaway Board. he was very creative and inventive. he was well known for his smile and positive attitude.

Funeral services will be 10a.m. Friday April 19, 2011 at Maupin Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Gary Schultz and Rev. Murray Buschert officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. on Thursday April 28, 2011 at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
