Genevieve Mae "Bee" Hawks, 83, of 369 Woodpoint Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Margaret E. Anderson.
Born Dec. 9, 1917, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Gregory and Margaret E. Difendafer Shoemaker.
Her husband, Donald William Hawks, died Nov. 14, 1999.
She was a member of Moose Lodge 342 Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret E. Anderson and Patricia Dunkin, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Robert Sickler of Hagerstown and Jack Sickler of San Diego, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Socks, Helen Mowen and Catherine Cunningham; and two brothers, Oscar Shoemaker and Les Shoemaker.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Samuel C. Findley will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
