Services for James Gordon Reese, Jr., 49, of Lufkin were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1991 at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Charles Treptow officiating.
Masonic graveside services were conducted under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669, A.F.&A.M. Burial was in the Garden of memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Reese was born Dec. 7, 1941 in Amarillo and died Oct. 26, 1991 in Lufkin. He was a commercial air conditioning serviceman for Summers, Inc. of Lufkin.

He was the lead guitarist for the Bobby Fuller Four in the 1960's, they recorded "I Fought The Law and The Law Won." He played in the movie "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini" plus several television shows including "Shindig"
He was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 A.F.&A.M., of the York Chapter, Council Commendery and of the Sharon Shrine Temple in Tyler. He was a member and guitarist at the Angel of Joy Lutheran Church. He had lived in Lufkin for several years.
