According to articles in The Dallas Morning News, Audrey was first married to Joe Carson. They had one child in 1935. (probably Mary Alice). Sometime between late 1935 and 1938 they were divorced, and she remarried.
Audrey died of leukemia.
Audrey was survived by her husband Marvin Earl Russell and children: Mary Alice Russell, Marvin Earl Russell Jr., and George Stewart Russell. She was also survived her mother; one brother, Floyd Hamilton; and three sisters: Mrs. Lucy Brown, Mrs. Lillian Frost*, and Mrs. Maggie Robinson**.
