PLAINS – Funeral services for former Plains resident Mary Louise Trotter, 83, were held Tuesday, April 25, at the First Church of God in Plains with the Rev. Roy Williams officiating. Burial was to be in Lakeview Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho. Visitation was Monday at Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Chapel in Plains.
Mrs. Trotter died of natural causes Thursday, April 20, 1995, at Latah Care Center in Moscow, Idaho.
She was born Dec. 25, 1911, at Dearborn, Mich. She moved to Texas with her family when she was one year old. In 1920, the family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, where Mary grew up and attended school.
June 16, 1930, Mary and George Trotter were married at Sandpoint. The couple made their home in Onaway, Idaho, until 1951, when they moved to Wallace, Idaho. Following Mr. Trotter's retirement in 1967, the couple moved to Plains in 1968.
Mary was a charter member of the Plains-Paradise Senior Citizens and helped with the remodeling of the present center.
She was preceded in death by her husband George, April 5, 1991.
Survivors include a brother, David Sawyer, and wife, Mildred, in Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her close friends, Dwight and Luora Abbott of Viola, Idaho.
Memorials were suggested to the Plains-Paradise Senior Citizens.
