Mrs. Tom Tipton, This City, Loses Life in Crossing Accident.
Mrs. Tom Tipton of 109 E. 2nd street, died in a hospital at Hutchinson, Kan., Friday night as a result of injuries received Thursday morning when an automobile in which she was riding was struck by a passenger train on a grade crossing at Greenburg, Kan.
In the automobile were Mr. & Mrs. Tipton and their son, Will, his wife and 2-year-old baby boy. All occupants of the car were injured, but none seriously except the aged Mrs. Tipton. None of the details of the accident have been received by their friends and relatives here. They were on their way to Denver, Col., where they had planned to spend several weeks.
The body of Mrs. Tipton, accompanied by her husband and son, will arrive in Oklahoma City Sunday morning.

The funeral of Mrs. Thomas Tipton will be held this afternoon at the family residence, 109 E. 2nd street, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Thomas Hunter, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Fairlawn cemetery. (THE OKLAHOMAN)
