Sidney Clayborn Williams Sr. was born Saturday, January 29, 1927 at Paris, Texas. He was the son of the late Elmer C. Williams and Edna Dickinson Williams.

Sidney Williams served this Nation in World War II where he met his future wife Maria E. Karbstein in Germany.

He was married to his long-time wife, Maria residing in McGehee, Arkansas. They were married October 29, 1947. He was a former councilmen at McGehee, Arkansas and retired after decades of loyal employment with the Coca Cola Bottling Company. His surviving family are:
Sidney & Ann Williams, Jr.
Mike & Linda Williams
Frank & Brenda Williams
Gary & Wanda Miles
also; five brothers, Ben, Bill, Homer, Frank, and Harry Williams. Two sisters, Edna Faye Nuckles and Emma Lou McWhirter.

His Funeral Service was held Friday, March 28, 1997 at the First United Methodist Church, in McGehee, Arkansas. Officiating the service was Buddy Ratliff, of Dumas, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were: Clay Williams, Barry Von Trease, Eddy Williams, Neal Miles, Michael Williams, Josh Williams, Bill Eastham, and Wayne Crumpler.
Honorary pallbearers were: Baine Poole, Mayor of McGehee and Jimmy Singleton, McGehee Chief of Police, McGehee, Arkansas.

Graveside services were held at Walnut Lake Cemetery, at Pickens, Arkansas.
