Robert F. "Bob" Aulgur, 88, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs. Rev. Charles Ahlemann will officiate. The body will lie in state from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Eric Neece, Eddie Reintez, Jack Neece, Charles Faulconer, Chuck Faulconer and Mike Clemens. Honorary pallbearers will be George Gibbins and Norman Gibbins. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs.

Born Oct. 27, 1915, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Robert F. Aulgur Sr. and Gertrude Thomas Aulgur. On Jan. 15, 1948, he married Mary Ahlf, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County most of his life and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs. He was a retired construction worker and had also worked for George's Heating and Cooling in Marshall for 10 years.

Additional survivors include one son, David Aulgur of the home; one sister, Lorene Aulgur of Marshall; one niece; and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
