We are all drawn to the light, like a moth to the flame our souls yearn for the peace that only light brings. As one of his parting testaments to the world Damian quoted the song Thula Mtwana "Do Not Cry, Mother Is Absent, Mother Shall Come Back". On January 16, 2010, Damian returned home into his loving Mothers arms. Light heals all sadness. Light heals all pain.

Damian brought to this earth gifts he gave freely... His gift of humor as he cheered and excited our hearts. His gift of beauty as he shared the music, film, and dance that shaped our lives. His gift of compassion as he reminded us of charity. His gift of empathy as he felt and knew our pain.

His proud and eternal family include his mother Michele, and his sisters Rachel, Vanessa, Alexis, Elle, Sabrina, and Ada. His friends throughout his life and travels stand in many states and continents all over the world. All of us mourning the loss of one we find with mere words impossible to describe. You would have had to laugh with him, talk with him, dance with him, share with him, weep with him, and love with him to catch the faintest glimpse of the child, the poet, the dreamer, the man.

Damian was blessed with a mother who taught him the true meaning of love. The true meaning of life. The truth...

Together we will live forever.

Funeral Services for Damian will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Highland LDS Chapel, 5848 West 11000 North, Highland.
Interment will be in the Highland City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
