Claire C. Astolfi (Delfino), of Jersey City. Entered peacefully into eternal life on Wednesday, December 29th, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice at the Atrium, Jersey City, with her daughter by her side. She was 81. Born in Jersey City she was a lifelong resident. She once was a secretary for Block Drug in Jersey City many years ago. She was a proud and devout member of Holy Rosary Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Senior Citizens Group. She was a former member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society, the Catholic War Veterans Women's Auxiliary and under the pastorate of the late Msgr. Gerard M. Santora, the Holy Rosary Secretarial Guild.
She is predeceased in death by her parents Victor Delfino & Madeline Perolano & her beloved husband Stephen Astolfi (1997). Surviving to cherish her memory is her loving daughter Patricia Astolfi & two special cousins Robert Brescia & Madeline Faccenda. She is also survived by many other cousins and friends. Relatives & Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, at 9:30 A.M. from the Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City. Interment will then follow at Jersey City Harsimus Cemetery, Jersey City. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. & Monday, from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M
