Minna French died on Wednesday, June 10, 1941 at Washington Sanitarium after a long illness. Survivors included her husband, Owen B. French and one sister, Bertha S. Chopp. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Holy City at 16th and Corcoran Streets Northwest. It was requested that there be no flowers. Interment was private. Arrangements were by the S.H. Hines Funeral Home at 2910 14th Street Northwest.

Among the spring weddings announced for the last week in May is that of Miss Minna Schott and Mr. Owen B. French. Miss Schott is the daughter of the late Professor and Mrs. Charles A. Schott and is a prominent musician of Washington. Mr. French is an officer of the Coast and Geodetic Survey and well known in scientific societies. Owing to recent death in the family, the wedding will be a very quiet one at the bride’s home. Immediately after the ceremony the couple will leave for the west, to be absent until January 1908.
