Antenor Patiño y Rodríguez was a Bolivian tycoon, heir to his father Simón Iturri Patiño, referred to as "the King of Tin". He was married in Paris on April 8, 1931 to Doña María Cristina de Borbón y Bosch-Labrús, 3rd Duquesa de Dúrcal, a cousin of Alfonso XIII, King of Spain. They had two daughters. They were divorced and he was married, secondly, in London on January 8, 1960 to Contessa Beatriz di Rovasenda (1911-2009), the former wife of Count Giovanni Lodovico di Rovasenda (1905-1986), without issue.

The Cimetière du Père Lachaise in Paris is Antenor Patiño's actual burial site. A cenotaph is found here.
