Dorothy Allen MacManus, 71, of Ft. White passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 11, 2009.
Born in Ft. White, she had returned to the area 25 years ago having come from Tallahassee. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, had retired from Campus Federal Credit Union as a teller and was a graduate and a member of the beta club of Ft. White High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Laurie James MacManus.
She is survived by her son, David A. (Pam) MacManus of Tallahassee; 3 brothers: W.A. (Beverly) Allen of Old Town, FL, Gerald (Martha) Allen of Jasper, GA and Larry (Anna) Allen of Ft. White, FL; 2 grandchildren: Bryan (Megan) MacManus of Tallahassee and Angela MacManus of Havana, FL; 1 great-grandchild, Kaylee MacManus of Tallahassee.
Services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy L. McNeal, Mr. David A. MacManus and Reverend Lawrence Haley officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 6 - 8 PM at Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 386-454-2444.
