Alaine Randall Wightman 1920 ~ 2010 Our beautiful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away May 29, 2010, at Provo, Utah. Born September 1, 1920 in Coltman, Idaho, to John Leamon Randall and Zoe Fletcher where spent her happy childhood days on the Coltman farm. After high school, Alaine attended Brigham Young University and after a transfer, graduated from Utah Agricultural College (USU) with an English/Music BA. She met her future husband, Wallace Joseph Wightman, there and they married November 30, 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Upon Wallace's return from the war, the young couple settled in California to raise their family. Alaine taught piano to her children, volunteered directing the Glee Club Chorus at the elementary school, taught reading at the middle school, and directed operettas at her grandchildren's elementary schools. She faithfully served as ward Relief Society President, YWMIA President, Primary teacher many times and visiting teacher forever. She's a creative and true teacher!

After retirement, Alaine and Wallace served as Oakland Temple workers, a mission to Pittsburgh, PA and a mission in the Family History Library, Salt Lake City.

Alaine is survived by her brother, Franklin Randall (Coltman, ID); her sister, Wanda Ostler (Alpine, UT); and children: Cheryl Linn Severson (Fremont, CA); Raniece Grover (Rexburg, ID); Navieve Dean (Lehi, UT); Laurina McCann (Eagle Mountain, UT); Leeman Wallace (South Lake Tahoe, CA); Balaine Wayland (Danville, CA); 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chesterfield LDS Chapel located at 9737 North Chesterfield Drive, Cedar Hills, UT. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Payson City Cemetery under the direction of Warenski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
