Syntha was the daughter of Attimirah (Altimirah?) Rogers and Fountain Hale. She was born at Chattanooga then moved with her parents to Louisburg, Dallas County, Missouri. She married Wiliam Turner Mashburn in October, 1876, and they were the parents of 10 children. They moved to Oklahoma in 1900 and they were among the early settlers in the Fairfax area.
