WILLIAM OGLESBY DIES AT CENTERFIELD RESIDENCE
William Oglesby, 84, retired livestock dealer, died Sunday afternoon at his residence at Centerfield of the infirmities of age. He was a native of the county the son of William C and Mary Virginia Watson Oglesby, and spent his entire life in the Centerfield community.
He was an active member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Church and for many years was superintendent of Mt. Tabor Cemetery. He never married.
He is survived by two sisters, Misses Sallie and Mattie Oglesby, both of Centerfield, several nieces and nephews.
The Body was prepared for burial at the M A Stoess & Sons Funeral Home and funeral services were conducted at Mt. Tabor Church by the Rev. M A Schooler Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Internment was in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Acting as casket bearers were Virgil Jones, Kenneth Brown, W H Payton, Alonzo Brown, Charles Brown and James Brown. Acting as Honorary Casket bearers were J B Stackhouse, H E Tatem, J P Schindler, E B Brown, C M Brown and R C Montfort.
