Actress, Singer, Vedette. She was a Mexican actress and singer, best known for her performances in the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. Born María Amparo Arozamena Sánchez, she was the daughter of actor actor Eduardo Arozamena Lira and sister of actor and singer Eduardo "Lalo" Arozamena. She started her career at age 5, in her family's theater company. At age 10, she got her first starring role, and at age 13, she debuted in her first feature film. Her first Mexican film was "Almas Encontradas", (1933), and appeared in over 120 features. She was a pioneer in Mexican television, working on television plays with Rafael Banquells, Ángel Garasa and Chucho Varello. She also performed in over 61 television dramas, being her first one "Borrasca" (1962). Among her historical achievements, she portrayed "La Tarántula" in the 1960s-70s television sitcom "Los Beverly de Peralvillo". She died on April 30, 2009, at age 92, as a result of a heart attack.
