Albert C Ross, 71, of Knox died Tuesday of last week in Holy Family Hospital following a six-month illness.
He was born in Lombard, Ill., Feb 14, 1886 and lived in Knox for the past 35 years, coming here from Elmhurst, Illinois.
Mr. Ross was a retired carpenter.
He was married July 4, 1911 in Elmhurst to Eva Fay Gibbs. Surviving are the widow; six sons, Bill and Albert Jr., both of Knox; Earl, of Kingsford Heights; Glen and Bob, both of Union Mills and Kenny of Hamlet; four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Fagan of Knox; Mrs. Clara Hanselman, of Hamlet, Mrs. Florence Wallace, of Union Mills, and Mrs. Dora Fay Edmiston, of Beecher, Ill.; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers Edward and Ernest Ross both of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs Ida D. Stebbin and Mrs. Tillie Aschy, both of Chicago.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday in the Harry Price Funeral Home in Knox with the Rev. Harold Weaver officiating.
Burial was in the Lerch Cemetery at Knox.
