Paul J. Adams, 60, of Springfield, a Vietnam veteran, died Feb. 26, 2009 peacefully at home. Born in Darby, he was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. Mr. Adams served with the U.S. Army and was a decorated Vietnam veteran. He was also amember of the Norwood VFW 7213. Mr. Adams was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He was ecstatic to see another World Series championship last year. He was brother of the late Thomas Adams. Survivors: Wife of 27 years, Eileen A. Jordan Adams; siblings, Ann Pearce of New Port Richey, Fla., Joan DiProspero of Kennett Square, Joyce Ross of Broomall, James Adams of Quakertown; 27 nieces and nephews; 26 great-nieces and great-nephews. Service: Mass, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave., Springfield. Visitation: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Church. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple. Contributions: Department of Veteran Affairs, 1400 Blackhorse Road, Department 135, Coatsville, PA 19320.
