Composer, Pianist. Pupil of Manuel de Falla, Pedrell and Granados, she was the only woman member of the known as "Group of the Eight," musicians of the Generation of 1927, forced into exile during the Spanish Civil War, that include Salvador Bacarisse, Julián Bautista, Ernesto Halffter, Rodolfo Halffter, Juan José Mantecón, Gustavo Pittaluga and Fernando Remacha. She was married with the music critic Jesús Bal y Gay. Among her works "Suite para Orquesta" and "Preludio." Some sources say she was born in 1908.
