Tuffers was the best cat in the whole world. He always had hugs and kisses for his family and if one tried to refuse a kiss, he would gently place his paw on his/her cheek and turn his/her head so he could give a kiss...refusal was not accepted.

His favorite place to sleep at night was on my right side and he slept there all night long...no matter how much I turned.

Tuffers was awesome with the kids. They could play rough with him and he would just say, "Meow" and bend his body with their handling of him.

When he was left home alone while the family were running errands or visiting family in other towns, Tuff would greet us at the door and give each of us a hug and kiss until he felt better that we had left him.

He was a very thoughtful kitty and presents were very common. Once he brought me a family of moles. How he managed to get all three moles on the porch is still a puzzle to me. I have received birds and mice too.

I am not sure what made him die, but I recently learned that it may be related to the pet food incident in 2007. It is the only thing that makes sense, because my Tuffers was very healthy and happy. He was not a fighter and got along well with people and other animals.

I have had four cats since I was a little girl still living at home, but I do believe Tuff is by far the best I have ever had the honor of caring for and I will always miss him.
