James Robert Lockamy, 84, went to be with his Savior Friday, December 29, 2023, at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Dillon Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, November 3, 1939, he was the son of the late James Robert Graham Lockamy and Etta Martha Cutchin Lockamy. He was a member of the Dillon Church of God, and he was the President of Lockamy Scrap Metal.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian H. Lockamy of Dillon; children, Kathy Lockamy of Gibsonville, NC, Lisa Walters (Tim) of Hartsville, and Christie O'Leary (Keith) of Gibsonville, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Durham (Michael), Melissa Walters, Charity Walters, and Christian O'Leary; brothers, Jackie Lockamy, Sr. (Wanda) and Richard Lockamy (Carolyn) all of Little Rock; sister, Martha Rose Bridges of Dillon; brother-in-law, Ty Hare (Pat) of Prince George, VA: sister-in-law, Shirley Hare of Dillon; numerous nieces & nephews;
He was preceded in death by his parents, Graham & Etta Martha Lockamy; In-laws, Troy & Ruby Hare; brothers-in-law, Truman Hare & Robert Bridges.
