Born Henry Terence Monk, he gained fame in the mid-1960s for providing the singing voice of 'Tom Cat' in two "Tom and Jerry" cartoons directed by Chuck Jones: "The Cat Above and the Mouse Below (1964)" and "Cat and Dupli-cat (1967)". Monk also worked in the theater stage, appearing in productions such as "Panama Hattie (1976)," "I Do, I Do! (1969)," "Mack and Mabel (1975)," and "See-Saw (1977)." On television, he took on various roles in series including "Days of Our Lives," "Crazy Like a Fox," "Falcon Crest," and "Benson." He passed away in 2003 due to complications from pulmonary cancer.
