Obituary from Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport LA:
Keith Nale was born on August 16th, 1960 in Shreveport, La. Keith was raised by his loving mother and father Bobby and Jarilyn Nale. Growing up Keith had a passion for swimming. He swam competitively for the city of Shreveport and went on to attend SAU where he competed on the collegiate swim team. SAU is where Keith met his beloved wife Dana. Keith and Dana went on to have two boys, Wesley and Austin.

Keith served 30 years for the Shreveport Fire Dept. and retired as a captain from Truck-20 A shift on December 31st, 2014. Keith competed on 2 seasons of Survivor, the first season was with his son, Wesley. Keith quickly became a fan favorite and was voted back in by his fans to compete in another season. Keith made a true impact on so many people around the world. Keith had a gentle temperament, a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and personality. Anybody who met Keith always left as a friend. Keith loved spending time with Wesley and Austin, whether it was in the deer woods at the Nale Hunting Club in Truxno, LA or the open plains of Canada hunting ducks. He also enjoyed spending sunup to sundown relaxed on the beach during their family vacations. Keith is a beloved member of an LSU tailgate group where he rarely missed a Saturday night in Death Valley and was known for his LSU helmet. Keith quickly adapted to the grandpa role when the "wild one," Calder Nale, made his appearance. Keith loved his time with Calder and taught him all about LSU football.
