Karen "Karin" J. Bowers, 65, Fort Atkinson, died on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at her home.
She was born on November 18, 1947 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Eugene and Marilyn (Moriarity) Paulus.
Karen attended Oconomowoc High School until the family moved to Lake Mills in 1964 where she graduated from Lake Mills High School, class of 1966. She then graduated from Madison Beauty College in 1968.
She had been a licensed real estate broker for Century 21 for a number of years.
Karen was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Mills and also St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson.
She volunteered at the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry, Jefferson Free Clinic and St. Vincent de Paul Society in Fort Atkinson.
Karen enjoyed bargain shopping, collecting and traveling.
Karen's father preceded in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Mills with Father David Wanish officiating.
Brrial will be in the Rock Lake Cemetery.
