Robert Alan Brobeck, 72 years 11 months and 17 days of age, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, departed this life on Monday, October 4th, 2021.


Robert was born in Washington County, Tennessee on Monday, October 18th, 1948, son of the late Ralph Brobeck and Sara Evelyn Carpenter Brobeck. Robert was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired machine operator in the Maintenance of Way Department for Northfolk Southern Railroad, where he worked mostly on the Super Rail Gang running a spike magnet machine.


Robert was survived by his loving wife, Ella Brobeck; one daughter, Ashley (and Kody) Booher; one grandson, Jaxon Brobeck; two sisters, Patty Kent and Carol (and David) Staten; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Brobeck, who departed this life in 1977 and Evelyn Brobeck, who departed this life on May 24th, 2009; and one brother-in-law, Hugh E. Kent.


Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8th, 2021 in the Washington County Memory Gardens in Johnson City, Tennessee.


The Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jonesborough, Tennessee was in charge of the arrangements for Robert.
