James Wilson (J.W.) Fielder, was born in Winona, Mississippi on December 16, 1936 to parents Will and Susie Fielder. On June 2nd, he died peacefully at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS with family and friends at his side.

J.W was a founding member of Northminster Baptist Church in Jackson. After moving to Madison in 1974, he joined First Baptist Church of Madison and was a member for the remainder of his life. In 1955, J.W. graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS and later earned a Bachelor of Business degree from Mississippi State University. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and continued to be an active alumni. In 1967, he founded Truck Trailer and Equipment, Inc. where he successfully served the transportation community and his loyal employees for 47 years. J. W. was actively involved in the Dixie National Sale of Champions, Mississippi Trucking Association and The Carriage Association of America. Everyone that met J.W. loved him, including the many caregivers who helped him during the last months of his precious life. J.W. always had a project in motion. His hobbies included woodworking, restoring carriages, driving horses, cooking, fishing with his grandchildren and working outside, but his true passion was his family and friends. He was an amazing father, loving grandfather and a fiercely loyal friend. His legacy will be remembered by all who had the fortunate opportunity to interact with him.

He is survived by his wife, Bridget Maloney Fielder; daughter, Bari (Dave) Bucholz and their children Forrest and Wilson; James Wilson (Jay) Fielder, Jr. and his children, Candice, Sara Wilson and Meredith; and Allen (Allison) Fielder and their children Walker and Abby. Stepfamily members include Gene (Jennifer) Chase and their children, Andrew, Connor, Ryan, Sam and O'Neal; and Hayes and Hailey Chase.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Susie Fielder; sisters, Marie Hartford and Belinda Carpenter; grandchildren, Harrison and Corbin Fielder; stepson, Ryan Chase and countless dear friends.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of J.W.'s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Madison on Sunday, June 6th at 4:00pm with visitation from1:00pm-4:00pm. Graveside burial at Parkway Memorial Cemetery will immediately follow.
