Mrs. Balliett, a native of Buffalo, was educated there and at Ogontz School, Philadelphia.
Her husband, a native of Lockport,
was teacher in several New York City schools and the couple lived in the metropolitan area for many years.
Mrs. Balliett had made her home in Italy for about 18 years since her husband's health failed but returned to the New York City area between 1940 and 1946 during. World War II.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Fargo Balliett, member of the business staff of
Stations WUSJ and WUSJ-FM Lockport; two
grandsons, Lieut. Fargo Balliett Jr., stationed with the U. S. Marine Corps at San Diego and Whitney L. Balliett of New York City.
The body will be cremated in Italy.
