Regina and Isabella, aged 5 and 2, tragically lost their lives when the car their mother was driving was struck by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol.
The two sisters, aged two and five, were involved in a fatal traffic accident in the municipality of San Nicolás. Prior to the accident, they had been enjoying the arrival of spring at a festival held in a public park. Dressed up as a unicorn and butterfly, they participated in various activities. Regina and Isabella had accompanied their mother, who worked as a food delivery driver, on her route when the intoxicated driver crashed into their vehicle. Isabella succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while her sister Regina passed away a few minutes later while receiving medical treatment at Muguerza Hospital. The mother of the young girls and the alleged perpetrator sustained minor injuries in the incident.
