Michael George Heim, 75, 3225 Irvingham, died unexpectedly Monday at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1895 in Topeka and had been a lifelong resident.

He was a coach carpenter for the Santa Fe Railway. He retired in 1960 after 45 years of service. He was a member of Assumption Church and Carmen's Local No. 887.

His wife, Gladys Heim, died Nov. 8, 1969.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Heim, Topeka, Bernard Heim, Lodi, Calif., Richard Heim, Osage City, and John Heim, 432 Pinecrest; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Harris, 1832 E. 20th, Mrs. Joan Legge, Waterbury, Conn., Mrs. Lavonne Wallom, Cicero, Ill., Mrs. Mildred Golder, Route 5, Mrs. Lorraine Bleek, 4201 Burlingame Road, and Mrs. Mary Struttman, 3735 N.E. 37th; a sister, Mrs. Leo Rollheiser, Route 5; 24 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services will b 10 am Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Brennan Funeral Home. Mr. Heim will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan Funeral Home.
