Kathy Paulette Boyd, 69, of Stovall, NC passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born in Granville County on October 14, 1951 to the late James Emmett Boyd and the late Katherine Lunsford Boyd.
After graduating from J.F. Webb in ’69 she attended ECU to receive her teaching degree. She dedicated her teaching career to students in Granville county for 50 years. She was always willing to put her students before herself and go the extra mile for them. She was a saving grace for many and always will be. Her smile was contagious and her laugh was a joyful noise; she could light up any room she walked into. Her legacy will continue on for an eternity.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Kristin Leigh Medford; granddaughter, Jocelyn Leana Carpenter; sibling, Toney A. Boyd (Virginia) and her nieces and nephew, Paula Boyd, Rodney Boyd (Sherri), and Grace Boyd. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
A public graveside service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:30 pm at Stovall Memorial Cemetery, Stovall, NC.
