"John", as he was called, was born 14th of 16 children born Joseph Austin Page and Anna Laura Goff. He had two half-siblings, Esther and Loraine for his father's previous marriage. He married Clara Bell Chaplin , and much like his brothers, had 5+ children with her. Clara's older brother, Everett, married John's younger sister, Doris.
