Cecile M. (Ganoe) Trotta, 61, of Marlborough, passed peacefully Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the daughter of Cecil Ganoe and the late Nancy (Sypolt) Ganoe. She was the best friend and soulmate of John Trotta, Jr., to whom she married to for 37 years. She was presdeceased by her daughter Hillary Trotta.
Cecile was a beautiful, sweet, caring woman who opened not only her heart to everyone that she met but opened her home as well. Anyone the ever met her would always say that she was a joy to be around. Her laugh and smile were contagious, and you could never stay sad around her. She lit up the world with happiness and joy that shown bright in her eyes everyday. She loved her coffee and cigarettes in the morning and her sangria's at night. Loved to travel anywhere and everywhere, especially the beach. When she could not make it the beach, you could find her on the back-deck lounging by the pool. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. And if you knew Cele, you knew that she was nicknamed by her kid's friends as "Mama Trotta". When she became a grandmother, it was the best day of her life. She loved spending any available second with him.
Through her work career of 32 years at BJ's Wholesale Club, she did amazing things for The Dana Farber Foundation where she was able to help raise millions every year. She loved going out for lunch with her co-workers who turned into great friends.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her son, John Trotta,III and his wife Melissa of Oxford and her daughter Danielle Trotta and her partner Adam Welk of Perry, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandson, John Trotta IV, as well as two sisters and two brothers.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 1, from 5:00-7:00pm at Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Funeral services for Cecile will be private.
