He is remembered for being the director of the successful radio drama "Kalimán," where he also played some roles. His works in acting and voice acting include films, television series, cartoon series, miniseries and radionovelas, including "The Gauntlet," "In the Heat of the Night," "The Apartament," "El Virginiano," "A Tale of Two Cities," "Lassie," "Tintin and the Lake of Sharks," "Jesus of Nazareth," among others. He was the father of Mexican actress and voice actress Mariana Ortiz.
