Arnold Ray Coggins, 77 years old, of Elizabeth, Colorado passed away August 13, 2011. Arnold was born July 12, 1934 in Englewood, Colorado son of Ray and Ester (Kvale) Coggins. He married JoAnn Carlson in 1952. Arnold co-founded a caisson drilling business, with his brother Norman in 1959. In 1981 he left the business to fulfill a life long dream of owning a cattle ranch. He ran about 100 head of cattle and grew alfalfa on 320 acres near Elizabeth. He enjoyed hunting and spent many seasons doing so in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. In April of 1999 he had a stroke that left him paralyzed on his right side. Arnold and JoAnn then moved to Aurora.

Arnold was predeceased by his wife JoAnn of 50 plus years. He is survived by his two daughters, June Miller (Scott) and Arleen Acree (Micheal) and two sons, Eric Coggins and Wayne Coggins, five grandchildren, JoAnn Pond (Jason), Christopher Miller (Maytee), Dakota, Chelsey and Erin Coggins, and five great-grandchildren, Alexandrea, Mackenzie, Shelby, James and Keith. He is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth Coggins and Norman Coggins and a sister Kathleen Laird and many nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the care he received over the years at Jewel Assisted Living in Aurora.

Daddy we loved you and you will be greatly missed by all. Butch, Arleen and Mike will especially miss the cards and treats on Tuesday nights………..right……..right…..right.
